The Luna Ultra also features a 1-inch sensor capable of recording 8K video and capturing high-resolution photos with improved dynamic range and color accuracy. There is also Deep Track 5.0 AI subject tracking, PureVideo low-light technology and a detachable 2-inch OLED touchscreen for remote monitoring and control. For video creators, the camera supports 7K 30p RAW open gate recording, allowing users to crop footage into different formats such as 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1 from a single recording. Other recording options include 4K 120p, oversampled 4K video, and Canon Log 2 and Log 3 profiles with up to 15+ stops of dynamic range. Sony says this approach helps reduce common HDR issues such as motion artifacts while also improving HDR video recording. Other features include support for 4K HDR video at 60fps and new Ultra High Conversion Gain circuits that reportedly reduce image noise by around 30% compared to previous Sony sensors in low-light situations. The camera features a 1-inch image sensor paired with the GP3 processor, enabling video recording of up to 8K at 60fps and 4K at 240fps. For photos, the MISSION 1 PRO can snag images up to 50MP, and it supports RAW plus JPEG too.
