Acer has announced two new ultrabooks - the Aspire M5 and the Aspire V5. The Aspire V5 will also arrive in the US starting October 26th and will have the following price tags: $450 (11.6-inch), $750 (14-inch with touch), $500 (15-inch non-touch) and $700 (15-inch with touch). The Acer Timeline notebook boasts of up to 8 hours battery life and sports a nice slim design (slimmer than most netbooks). Most of the Acer notebooks I've seen around are ugly and bulky but the Acer Timeline series changed that impression. The 13.3" Acer Timeline costs more at around Php45,000 while the 14" has a retail price of Php39,990. I should have said "Have you seen the Acer Aspire One" but didn't bother to argue anymore. Just 5 days after the new 10" Acer Aspire One has been formally announced, the new model is ready for pre-oder with a suggested retail price of Php25,995.
