Acer is on a roll with new product announcements and one of them is the new VR-Ready Predator gaming notebook - the Predator 17 X. Acer once again led consumer notebook sales in 2022, marking its 16th consecutive year of taking charge with a 35.2% market share. Acer also holds the top spot in the gaming notebook category with a 40.4% market share according to a third-party research firm. In comparison, Acer had an overall market share of 33% - 30% in consumer notebooks and 34% in gaming notebooks in 2021. In the gaming side, Acer Predator's ambassadors Alodia Gosiengfiao, Team Payaman, Een Mercado, Kang Dupet, Blacklist International Dota 2 Team, Team Secret Valorant, Polaris Esports, and Boom Esports resonated very well with the community with the usage of its gaming laptops. For Acer, sales of gaming notebooks nearly doubled with 113,000 units sold last year from 75,000 in 2020 and 38,000 in 2019.
