Acer is on a roll with new product announcements and one of them is the new VR-Ready Predator gaming notebook - the Predator 17 X. Acer has expanded its gaming lineup with the launch of the Predator Atlas 8, a new Windows-based handheld gaming device designed for portable PC gaming. According to Acer, it includes the first metal fan used in a gaming handheld. Acer once again led consumer notebook sales in 2022, marking its 16th consecutive year of taking charge with a 35.2% market share. Acer also holds the top spot in the gaming notebook category with a 40.4% market share according to a third-party research firm. In comparison, Acer had an overall market share of 33% - 30% in consumer notebooks and 34% in gaming notebooks in 2021. In the gaming side, Acer Predator's ambassadors Alodia Gosiengfiao, Team Payaman, Een Mercado, Kang Dupet, Blacklist International Dota 2 Team, Team Secret Valorant, Polaris Esports, and Boom Esports resonated very well with the community with the usage of its gaming laptops.
