The successor to the Acer Liquid Jade is now equipped with a 64-bit octa-core processor and LTE-capable. Powered by a MediaTek MT6752M chip, we recently spotted the Liquid Jade S in the wild but will soon land in the Philippines. The original Liquid Jade was a looker but the MediaTek quad-core processor and 1GB of memory was not enough to give it a fluid and snappy performance. The Liquid Jade S has addressed all that with a more powerful chip that is also LTE-capable. Acer certainly bumped up the hardware configuration of the Jade S, including the use of Gorilla Glass 3 and a generous 2GB of RAM. The global announcement earlier this month pegs the suggested retail price of a little over Php10,000 but local pricing could be higher or similar to the original SRP of the Liquid Jade which is Php14,990. Expect the Liquid Jade S to arrive 1st quarter of 2015.
