X’s AI chatbot Grok, is now available to X Premium+ subscribers in the Philippines. This AI model was developed by xAI and introduced by Elon Musk last year, with the premise of the chatbot being able to answer inquiries “rebelliously” with a hint of sarcasm. In his initial reveal, Musk also revealed that Grok will have real-time access to information via users’ posts (FKA tweets) on the X platform. Musk claimed that this would be a massive advantage over other models like OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Priced at PHP 1,190—Grok is available for X Premium+ subscribers in the Philippines today. To get the badge, eligible users need to finish this selfie-based verification process. They just record a short selfie video and Meta compares it with the profile photos they already have to make sure it’s really them. The whole thing takes only a few minutes, maybe less.
