Akamai recently published their State of the Internet Report for Q1 of 2015, showing the Philippines with an average Internet speed of 2.8Mbps. According to Akamai, the Philippines has an average speed of 2.8Mbps for Q1 2015 (2.7Mbps in Q4 2014) which places it at a Global Rank of 104 or 13th among the 15 countries on the list. Akamai notes that the Philippines is the only country that posted a decline when it comes to quarter-over-quarter changes at -7.4%. Not long ago, the Philippines have always been reported as among having the slowest internet in the Sount-East Asian region.
