We received confirmation that the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 will be officially available in the Philippines this early September. Of the two sizes of the Idol 3 (4.7-inch and 5.5-inch), only the 5.5-inch version will be released. The 5.5-inch Idol 3, with its €250 (Php12,400) MSRP, is looking to complete with the likes of the Moto G or the Zenfone Selfie. What's interesting with the Idol 3 is that it is symmetrical and reversible -- meaning you can use it on any orientation. This could mean that the only way you can get the Alcatel Idol 3 is thru a postpaid plan. Recently, Alcatel officially unveiled four new devices at IFA 2017 in Berlin-- namely, the Idol 5, Idol 5S, A7, and A7 XL. Idol 5S, on the other hand, will soon be available in Europe with a price of €399.99 (~Php24,227.98) while the A7 XL will be released in November throughout Europe and will also make its way in the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and the APAC region. Alcatel has announced three new smartphones, including the new Idol 5S, packed with a Snapdragon chip, 3GB of RAM, and Android Nougat right out of the box.
