Last February, Alcatel revealed the world's first Android Go phone, the 1X. Now, The company has released its newest sibling with lower specifications, the Alcatel 1. The Alcatel 1 sports a 5-inch display with 480 x 940px resolution, a MediaTek MT6739 1.28GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card, a 5MP rear camera, 2MP front, and 2,000mAh battery. Alcatel's the latest one we've seen that embraced the Android OS and it looks like it's doing something good for them. The one we have here, an Alcatel One Touch Blaze 990, will be launched in August 4 with an introductory price of Php9,999. The Alcatel OT Blaze 990 would have been an attractive Android handset had they brought it earlier this year. Alcatel makes its first foray into the local tablet market is with this entry-level but very functional 7-inch Alcatel One Touch Tab T10.
