We recently discovered that the new Smart Bro LTE Pocket WiFi that is being offered to subscribers lately is the one from Alcatel. It looks like the Alcatel One Touch Link Y800 replaces the usual Huawei LTE pocket WiFi offered before. Perhaps this is the reason why Smart switched to Alcatel from Huawei for their LTE pocket WiFi. The Alcatel Y800 uses a regular LTE SIM, supports a quad-band LTE network and is capable of sharing internet connectivity with up to 10 devices. Alcatel's the latest one we've seen that embraced the Android OS and it looks like it's doing something good for them. The one we have here, an Alcatel One Touch Blaze 990, will be launched in August 4 with an introductory price of Php9,999. The Alcatel OT Blaze 990 would have been an attractive Android handset had they brought it earlier this year. Alcatel makes its first foray into the local tablet market is with this entry-level but very functional 7-inch Alcatel One Touch Tab T10.
