Sony is teasing what looks like the next model in its popular Alpha mirrorless line. On the official Sony Alpha Instagram account, the company posted an image with the tagline “Chase your dream” and the date December 2 at 9 a.m. The visual strongly suggests that Sony is preparing to unveil the A7 V, the successor to the Alpha 7 IV. The Alpha 7 III launched in 2018 and the Alpha 7 IV followed in 2021, so a 2026 release would roughly match the four-year upgrade cycle for the series. For reference, the Alpha 7 IV body started at around 2,500 US dollars when it was released, which is roughly 145,000 Philippine pesos at direct conversion only. After countless rumors and leaks, Samsung has finally unveiled the new Galaxy Alpha; a 4.7-inch Android handset that runs on the company’s own octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM and is backed by six-core Mali-T628 GPU. As far as its design goes, the new Samsung Galaxy Alpha looks like a miniature Galaxy Tab S 8.4 with its thin body complete with metal trims around it and a perforated back panel.
