LG Electronics Italia has announced the devices that will receive the Android 10 update and its rollout schedule. The Android 10 update will roll out in separate quarters of 2020 starting with the LG V50 ThinQ in Q1; followed by the LG G8X in Q2; the LG G7, G8S, and V40 in Q3; then the LG K50S, K40S, K50, and Q60 in Q4. The Android 10 update for the said LG devices includes the new LG UX 9.0 as well as new features, improvements, bug fixes, and security updates that come with the new OS. Google has released Beta 2 of Android 17. Google's Android 17 Beta 2 brings new features focused on privacy, security and easier app development. Android 17 also improves cross-device support with a new handoff feature. This allows users to continue tasks on another Android device. Android 17 is expected to launch later this year.
