Google has announced Android 10 (Go edition) which is an optimized Android operating system for entry-level devices. Speed and reliability are also enhanced with apps launching 10% faster than they did on Android 9 (Go edition). Android 10 (Go edition) includes a new form of encryption for entry-level smartphones, called Adiantum, which is a more efficient storage encryption that uses Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). Android developers are also encouraged to enhance their apps to work well on Android (Go edition) devices. Android Go edition launched in December 2017 starting with Android 8.1 Oreo. It is followed by Android 9 Pie (Go edition) in August 2018. Android 10 (Go edition) will launch later this fall season.
