Google has officially expanded the Android 16 beta program to include select Xiaomi and OnePlus devices, marking a significant step beyond its initial Pixel-only rollout. This development allows a broader range of users to experience the upcoming Android OS ahead of its stable release.    Eligible Devices for Android 16 Beta Google Pixel: Pixel 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, 9 Pro Fold Pixel 8, 8 Pro, 8a Pixel 7, 7 Pro, 7a Pixel 6, 6 Pro, 6a Xiaomi: Xiaomi 15 Xiaomi 14T Pro OnePlus: OnePlus 13 It’s important to note that these beta builds are primarily intended for developers and advanced users. Installing them on primary devices is not recommended due to potential bugs and the risk of device instability.  Notable Features in Android 16 Live Updates: High-priority notifications, such as navigation and ride-sharing updates, are now prominently displayed on the lock screen and status bar, ensuring timely information delivery. Enhanced Photo Picker: Users can now search and select media from cloud providers directly within the Android photo picker, enhancing privacy and convenience. Return of Lock Screen Widgets: For the first time since Android 5.0 Lollipop, users can add widgets directly to their lock screens, offering quick access to essential information.
