The company has just announced that it has begun rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for Australia. The new update for the F1S brings the usual offerings of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company's ColorOS layered on top. Some of Marshmallow's features include native support for fingerprint recognition and Doze power saving mode. ASUS has started seeding Android 6.0 Marshmallow to its ZenFone 2 series of smartphones starting with ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE500KL). Aside from the improvements brought by Marshmallow, it will also remove some apps like ASUS Email, ASUS Calendar, and ASUS Messaging, and will be replaced by Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Messenger. Hot on the heels of the Google’s announcement about its plan of rolling out Android Marshmallow to all supported Nexus devices starting next week, HTC posted a status on its Twitter account which provided an initial list of HTC devices that will be updated to the latest version of Android. As for the other devices on the list, HTC hasn’t release an exact date or even an estimated date when the new version of Android will arrive. As is customary after announcing the hardware, Google officially outs the latest version of its mobile operating system Android 6.0 or more commonly known as Android Marshmallow.
