The company added that users who want encrypted messaging can continue using WhatsApp, where end-to-end encryption is enabled by default. The move aims to standardize messaging on Android. Users can switch to Google Messages through in-app prompts or by manually setting it as the default messaging app via the Play Store. CapCut has launched a new app called CapCut Pad for Android tablets, bringing more advanced video editing tools and a larger editing workspace designed for bigger screens. Through the integration, Viber users can now access ChatGPT tools without leaving the messaging app. Rakuten Viber CEO Ofir Eyal said the company wants to make everyday communication easier and more creative by integrating AI into the app’s existing messaging experience.
