Google's own mobile payments service, Android Pay, has landed in Asia and Singapore is the first country in the region to have a taste of it, and the third worldwide after the US and the UK. Singaporeans can now use Android Pay at numerous retail locations in their country that accept contactless payments, including 7-11, McDonald's, Uniqlo, and Watsons. For the complete list where Android Pay is supported, click here. Android Pay is supported by all Android devices with NFC and running Android 4.4 KitKat or higher. In a move to replace the current Google Wallet app, Google announces its new Android Pay that's already available as an update that you could get online. Just like the Google Wallet, Android Pay basically works the same way with the software being compatible to NFC-enabled devices running Android version 4.4 and above. It's also been reported that stores like American Eagle, Macy's Pepsi, Subway, and other selected shops have already been equipped with NFC readers for Android Pay. Google has just announced a new version of Android 12 that is catered to larger screen sizes called, Android 12L.
