#Apple M5 launch

Apple today officially unveiled the M5 chip which will power the refreshed 14-inch Macbook Pro, Apple Vision Pro and the iPad Pro. Built using 3rd generation 3nm technology, the Apple M5 comes with a new 10-core GPU architecture with a Neural Accelerator in each core which now has over 4x the peak GPU compute performance compared to M4. Devices runing on the new Apple M5 will be released by October 22. Launched in January 2026 alongside the PEMEDES Licensing Portal, the program introduced a centralized platform for complaint monitoring, rider registration, and compliance tracking among delivery service providers. On June 23, the DICT also launched Phase 2 of the PEMEDES Licensing Portal, which brings enhanced digital identity verification, automation, and expanded regulatory monitoring. The launch bundle includes an ROG Exclusive Sleeve and ROG Strix Impact gaming mouse, with the introductory price set at PHP 224,995 for the RTX 5070 model and PHP 324,995 for the RTX 5080 model. Apple has revealed that the iPhone 12 and 12 mini now come in the color Purple. As per Apple, the new finish complements the beautiful flat-edge design of the iPhone 12.
