Apple has launched a Digital ID that can be created through the Apple Wallet. Apple says that the Digital ID will be accepted in ‘select businesses and organizations for identity and age verification’ in the future. Its introduction follows the option of adding a driver’s license or state ID to the Apple Wallet in 2022. With the arrival of Google Pay and possible arrival of Apple Pay in the Philippines, the Digital ID could be a useful identification alternative. Apple Wallet users can add their passport by scanning the photo page with an iPhone. To use the Digital ID, double-click the side button or Home button to access your Apple Wallet. Next, select Digital ID and hold your iPhone or Apple Watch near an ID reader.
