Two weeks ago, we’ve mentioned that ASUS will be releasing two Windows 8 tablets namely the ASUS Vivo Tab and Vivo Tab RT, with the latter sporting a quad-core NVidia Tegra 3 processor. In this short video clip, a rep from NVidia Labs showcased just how powerful the ASUS Vivo Tab RT really is by effortlessly running Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 3 without any signs of lag. If this video demo didn’t convince you that the ASUS Vivo Tab RT is one heck of a beast, I don’t know what will. The ASUS Vivo Tab RT, as well as its Intel Atom-powered counterpart, is expected to be launched this October along with the Windows 8. The two Windows 8 tablets that Asus showed us during Computex in Taiwan last June were now renamed to Vivo Tab and Vivo Tab RT. The Asus Vivo Tab is the one running Windows 8 Pro and uses an Intel Atom processor. On the other hand, the Asus Vivo Tab RT runs on an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 12-core NVidia GeForce GPU, 2GB RAM and 32GB eMMC internal storage. The Vivo Tab RT is thinner at 8.3mm with just a 10.6-inch display.
