Fujitsu's 6-inch portable Lifebook U2020 gets an upgrade to 2.0GHz Intel Z550 CPU. The previous model went out last July 2009 and was running an Atom Z530 1.6GHz. Intel made official their new Atom processors for Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) -- the Atom Z515 which clocks at 1.2GHz and the Atom Z550 which is rated at 2.0GHz. Although the Atom Z5xx series are more targeted to MIDs, it won't be uncommon to see them being used for netbooks like in the case of the Sony Vaio P. The Atom Z515 can very well be included in future smartphones too (runs as fast as the SnapDragon platform featured in Toshiba's TG01). Now that the Intel Atom N280 has arrived (c/o the Acer Aspire One D150), we'll try to take a look if this slightly higher-clocked CPU is indeed faster than its predecessor.
