In a blog announcement, both the Photos and Drive apps for both platforms will no longer be supported following the wider rollout of its Backup and Search and File Streams apps for both consumer and enterprise users. Regular users of both said platforms may now head over to the internet search giant's Backup and Update App for a more unified approach as it contains both data and photos in one application. Google's File Stream functions the same as Backup and Sync, but with added features in tow such as on-demand file streaming and access to team drives. Update: It was brought to our attention that there is a version of the Synchros S200 with an in-line Microphone that is compatible with "some" Android devices. The rest that followed was some sort of reality check and yet another lesson in making backups of backups. I immediately checked for the internal backups and found out that not all accounts had the latest copy.
