One of the most significant specifications that tech consumers consider is the battery capacity of mobile devices. Thus, a protocol for phone reviews is performing benchmarks that include measuring the battery life. This is done through the benchmarking app called “PCMark” which puts mobile devices to the test. PCMark’s latest version of the battery benchmark tool, Work 3.0, runs a series of tests on the device to measure its true battery life under everyday working conditions—via simulation of web browsing, video and photo editing, writing documents, and data manipulation. The benchmarking lasts for hours intended to consume power until the battery drops at 20%, and the app will show the device’s average performance score garnered from the tests. Interestingly, with lower battery capacity at 4,000 mAh, the ASUS Zenfone 8 overtakes the ASUS ROG 5S Pro packing a huge 6,000 mAh battery. Meanwhile, the longest to last is the Infinix HOT 10S with 22 hours and 18 minutes of measured battery life, followed by Doogee N40 Pro lasting 21 hours and 25 minutes, and realme 8 5G got 20 hours and 31 minutes.
