If you’re a first-time Ultra user, it’s a great phone to have with all the great hardware, performance, camera capabilities and one of the best user-interface on an Android phone out there. Instead of one “best” phone, you got several options powered by Galaxy AI: the Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy ZFold7, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, each designed for a different kind of user. It is Samsung’s thinnest Flip yet, and its compact form factor still feels like the biggest reason to own one, because it is simply easier to carry and easier to use one-handed than a lot of larger phones. It is also the one that probably best represents Samsung’s current idea of what a premium phone should be: powerful hardware, practical AI tools, and features that go beyond just spec-sheet bragging rights. Samsung has this thing with slider phones so all the 3 new ones are just that. Without the iPhone, we would not have seen the likes of Samsung Instinct, Omnia i900, HTC Touch Diamond, LG Dare and Sony-Ericsson Xperia this early. I had 4 most likely candidates as a great iPhone alternative -- the HTC Touch Diamond, Nokia N96, Samsung i900 Omnia and the Sony-Ericsson Xperia.
