The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) released a new memorandum announcing the availability of the Taxpayer Portal (TPPortal) so that individual taxpayers will be able to register and access their taxpayer information in a single portal. With the said features, the need for manual follow-ups and in-person visits to BIR offices will be reduced. BusinessWorld reported that the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) hauled in PHP 6.57 billion since the law was imposed. Analysts said the BIR is on track to meet their target number for this year amounting to PHP 10 billion. This figure was projected by former BIR Commissioner Romeo D.
