ZTE USA has recently announced their next smartphone under the Z Max series, the ZTE Blade Z Max. Its predecessor, the ZTE Z Max Pro has the same screen size, internal storage, and RAM but runs on a Snapdragon 617 chipset, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and a 3400mAh battery. Smart is finally out with its WiMax service and posters have been spotted about the new SmartBro WiMax subscription plans. I think we're a bit fortunate to have 3 competing WiMax providers in the Philippines -- there's Globe, Smart and Liberty Telecoms. But just like the existing 3G networks that have been rolled out for years, WiMax is also dependent on location. They are helping push the use of WiMax in emerging markets where there are very low but fast growing PC users.
