BPI is at the forefront of integrating sustainability into banking, and in this year's Sustainability Month, they took it to the next level with their "Phygital" banking transformation. BPI has launched a revamped version of its online banking app with improved features and a more modern design. The redesigned BPI online banking app is now available on both the App Store and Google Play Store. The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has issued a System Maintenance Advisory informing its clients that its ATMs, cash deposit machines (CDMs), POS terminals and online banking services, will be unavailable at certain times in the next few days. In 2000, when mobile phones were trending and Filipinos communicated heavily via SMS, BPI launched the Express Mobile which is the first mobile banking service in the Philippines. BPI followed it with the menu-based Mobile Banking in 2005, in partnership with Globe Telecom. In 2018, 167 years since the bank's establishment in the Philippines, BPI will launch its new and improved online and mobile banking platforms.
