At 2:56AM (June 8), BPI sent out a media release that all the problems from the glitch have been rectified and corrected. We sent out the announcement to our readers (via Facebook) yet continue to receive feedback that their accounts are still negative or problematic. This morning (11:07AM), BPI sent another statement there are still problems. This means BPI will shut down electronic channels again today -- ATM, BPIExpressOnline and the BPI App. It looks like this problem has not been fully resolved yet. Related: The problem started when people reported unauthorized withdrawals and credits to their bank accounts yesterday. News have been spreading the entire week that dozens of BPI customers have reported unauthorized withdrawals from their ATM accounts. Just a while ago, we also noticed that BPI has started sending out email alerts whenever there is a withdrawal made in its ATM machines.
