MediaTek has unveiled its new Kompanio Ultra 910 chipset, aimed at boosting the performance of Chromebooks. MediaTek says that Chromebooks powered by the Kompanio Ultra will be available “in the coming months.” Just when we thought that Chromebooks are in a decline and that the Samsung Chromebook priced at $249 is cheap, here comes the new Acer C7 Chromebook with a $199 price tag. The Acer C7 Chromebook features a full-size keyboard, fully clickable trackpad, an extra bright 11.6-inch display and over 3.5 hours of battery life.
