Google announces Acer Chromebook for $199

Just when we thought that Chromebooks are in a decline and that the Samsung Chromebook priced at $249 is cheap, here comes the new Acer C7 Chromebook with a $199 price tag.

The Acer C7 Chromebook features a full-size keyboard, fully clickable trackpad, an extra bright 11.6-inch display and over 3.5 hours of battery life. It is powered by an Intel Core processor, boots up in 18 seconds and can play videos in 1080p. For storage, the C7 has a 320GB hard drive and 100GB of free storage on Google Drive for 2 years.

The Acer C7 Chromebook will be available for $199 in the U.S. on Google Play starting on November 13.

Come on… Do you ever use your laptops or tablets offline? If you do then wake up.

Chromebooks are designed to operate in the cloud just in case you did not know. There are offline apps available but don’t expect more to come.
