Cisco just recently announced their new Linksys Smart WiFi Routers, namely the EA4500, EA3500 and the EA2700, which offers better features and performance. On top of that, Cisco also introduced their new Cloud platform called the Cisco Connect Cloud, allowing users to access their home networks anytime, anywhere from the web browser, smartphones or tablets. First up is the Linksys EA4500 is a dual-band N900 router with 4 Gigabit Ethernet ports and a USB port. Some of the apps mentioned are “Block the Bad Stuff” for iOS which helps the routers protect its users and devices from unsafe websites and adult content, and “Twonky Video” for Android and iOS which allows you to browse online video services and “beam” them to your Smart TV. Embedded Apps from the Cisco Connect Cloud also offer added functionality such as Device Management, Parental Controls, Guest Access (so you don’t have to give our your primary password), USB Storage, Media Prioritization and Speed Test. The Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Router line can also be purchased at the following retailers: Microvalley, Complink, E-hub, Villman Computers, PC Express, Gigahertz, Thinking Tools, PC Worx, Silicon Valley, PC Corner, Dynamic PC, Acenet, PC Hub. TP-Link has officially announced the Archer 8, the company’s first router platform built around the upcoming Wi-Fi 8 standard.
