As the country adapts to the "new normal", the City of Manila partners with PayMaya to deploy cashless stalls located in Divisoria and near Manila City Hall. The new 90 stalls, which are provided by the city government of Manila for free, allow merchants to use their PayMaya app and complete transactions by letting customers scan their QR codes. Each has PayMaya accounts linked to their Manila City ID cards.  To empower local governments with the right digital financial services tools which they can use to improve their services, Paymaya has recently launched the LGUs Embracing and Accelerating Digitalization Program (LEAD). Among the cities in NCR which adapted PayMaya's digital payment solutions are Caloocan, Mandaluyong, Manila, Pasig, Quezon City, and Valenzuela.  As of this writing, PayMaya has disbursed over PHP 1.4 billion to beneficiaries as part of the social amelioration programs of various LGUs for the COVID-19 pandemic.
