Google Workspace has announced the new breakout rooms that allow the division of participants into smaller groups during video calls in Google Meet. [caption id="attachment_253834" align="aligncenter" width="640"] Breakout Rooms in Google Meet[/caption] The new feature allows users to create up to 100 breakout rooms in a call. Enrolled consumer devices will now officially continue to receive critical security patches until October 12, 2027. While we would've enjoyed if Microsoft called it the "Extended Extended Security Updates program," it seems like they fully intend for this extension to fly under the radar. For anyone already enrolled in the consumer ESU tracker, Microsoft confirmed that the extended coverage will apply automatically with no extra steps required.
