Corning has officially announced their newest glass protection, aptly named Gorilla Glass 6. The new Gorilla Glass will be replacing the widely-used Gorilla Glass 5. According to Corning, Gorilla Glass 6 is twice as tough as the previous GG5, thanks to its added resistance and durability to drops. The manufacturer is claiming that the new Gorilla Glass 6 has survived 15 consecutive drops from a 1-meter hight on rough surfaces and has better survivability at higher heights. Corning provided a promotional video (link here) where they demoed the drop tests they did with GG6.
