#Coronavirus bill payment extension

Globe Telecom extends the bill payment due dates for its mobile and broadband postpaid subscribers. Previously, Globe announced a 30-day bill payment extension which expired on April 15. Just like before, payment fees that may reflect on Globe At Home billing statements will be waived. The bill payment extension is in response to the national government’s decision to continue the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon. The bill seeks to expand the use of digital payments in the country. Tinio said the bill does not clearly state who can access transaction data once digital payments become more common. He added that the bill may allow payment providers to charge transaction fees, even for small payments.
