During an event held by Dell last week, they unveiled their latest G series laptops aimed at gamers: the G3, G5, and the G7. Today, Dell sent us the G7 to play with, so we can give our initial thoughts. On top, we have the reflective Dell logo whose colors change with the angle of the light. The Dell G7's keyboard is full-sized, with shorter arrow keys and the Nav keys located on top of the NumPad. A cool feature implemented on the Dell G7 is that the power button also doubles as a fingerprint scanner for added security and convenience. Due to the nature of the design, the display can only be tilted up to around 135°. The Dell G7 has a 15.6-inch IPS display running at 144hz and is capable of 300 nits of brightness. In terms of performance, our model of the Dell G7 came with a 144hz IPS display, Intel Core i7-9750H, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, and 16GB DDR4 RAM running at 2666MHz.
