The Android app of Discord will now be using React Native for a more streamlined and faster update release on all platforms. Following the company’s announcement regarding Discord updates, it always has to be ‘launch on iOS and desktop’ first before it arrives on Android devices. Based on Discord’s website, all of this is going to change. With this kind of development, Android users doesn’t need to wait for weeks before an update reaches Android devices, updates will be expected to be sent to all platforms (Android, iOS, desktop) simultaneously. [caption id="attachment_316739" align="alignnone" width="720"] Image | Discord[/caption] They’ve clarified that Android and iOS specific patterns in their UI will remain the same but design details and UI elements will now be more aligned across all platforms. Based on their website, Discord has been working ground up using the React Native development framework, that’s why they’ve rolled out the new version of their Android app this past few weeks. Google has just announced a new version of Android 12 that is catered to larger screen sizes called, Android 12L.
