DITO Recognized by Opensignal as Fastest Mobile Network in the Philippines In Opensignal’s April 2025 Mobile Network Experience Report, DITO Telecommunity was named the Fastest Mobile Network in the Philippines. “The recognition reflects DITO’s unwavering commitment to delivering world-class mobile experiences to Filipinos,” shared Eric Alberto, President and CEO of DITO Telecommunity. DITO's performance in the report is attributed to its infrastructure investments, including an all-IP network and 5G Standalone (SA) architecture. Connectivity Aligned with Today’s Mobile Demands According to Opensignal, DITO recorded a 5G download speed of 280.8 Mbps and a 5G upload speed of 16.1 Mbps, leading among competitors. These results from OpenSignal’s independent analysis suggests that DITO’s network is designed to support both speed and the digital habits of today’s Filipino users. DITO Telecommunity has launched Silent Network Authentication, a technology that allows digital platforms to verify users directly through the mobile network without relying on SMS one-time passwords (OTPs). According to DITO Chief Commercial Officer Adel Tamano, the technology strengthens mobile transaction security by shifting verification away from older authentication methods. The deployment was highlighted during a session at Mobile World Congress 2026 in Barcelona focused on network APIs and telecom-based authentication systems.
