Hours after Microsoft officially announced the release date of Windows 10, notifications have started popping up to desktop users running a legit version of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. We started seeing the small Windows logo popped up an hour ago in the taskbar of our laptop. Clicking on the icon directs you to a window that outlines the process of upgrading to Windows 10. Once you confirm your free upgrade, Windows 10 will eventually be downloaded in the background once it becomes available. Windows 10 will be released globally on July 29 and will be a free upgrade to legit users of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.
