According to a report, the download speed experience in Manila is 73% than that of Cebu, Davao, Angeles, and other urban zones. In the research conducted by OpenSignal, it was found that the average overall download speed of 11.6 Mbps in Manila was 47% faster in contrast to Angeles' 7.9 Mbps. Ookla, the company behind Speedtest, recently released data from Q4 2022 and Q1 2023 in the Philippines. Compared to all other fixed broadband providers, Starlink set the fastest median download speeds averaging 110.78 Mbps during Q1 2023. Despite the fast download speed, Starlink did have a slower upload speed in the country. Starlink’s slower upload speeds and high latency are not only in the Philippines. The company also recorded slower upload speeds and higher latency compared to all other providers in new countries where Starlink was recently launched. With that in mind, Starlink in the Philippines is far from perfect.
