Recently, Google Philippines announced that the tech giant will provide over 39,000 scholarships to Filipinos through its Google Career Certificates program. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) commences the initiative as they are now accepting online applications. DTI notes that applications will go through careful assessment due to limited slots. DTI says that eligible to apply are Filipinos aged 18 and above, has a device with internet access, and committed to finish the course(s). The free training initiative is said to be in cooperation with the Department Information and Communications Technology (DICT), Globe Telecom, DTI, and Google which begins this December 2022.
