The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has ordered e-wallets to unlink their platforms to online gambling sites within 48 hours. BSP Deputy Governor Mamerto Tangonan has stated that they have issued an order for e-wallet platforms to remove links in-apps to allowing users to use e-gambling sites. Users of the e-wallets can still use the e-wallet platforms by going directly to the e-gambling website. Instead, they’ll function purely as technology service providers, linking users’ debit, credit, or e-wallet accounts to enable tap-to-pay transactions via NFC-enabled devices. Building on government regulations, GrabProtect's policies further raise Grab's safety and hygiene by implementing the following protocols: Grab driver and delivery-partners have to submit daily health declarations, confirming they are well before starting their day.
