I seldom fly Emirates, perhaps one or twice a year, so I don't get first hand information about their in-flight WiFi service very often. Emirates is one of the very few airlines that offer some sort of in-flight internet service (along with PAL, Singapore Air and Delta) and during our trip here to Europe, I discovered they're offering much cheaper internet service during the flight. Was fixing the built-in wifi device of the MSI Wind for several hours now to no avail. The problem is that the wifi just wouldn't detect any wireless connections even if you're already beside the router. I've already searched for related problems and read on forums that there's a sizable number of MSI Wind owners are having the similar problmes with the wifi. The system seems to be registering the right hardware but the wifi just could not detect any signal (AP). I'm thinking of several work-around -- like looking for older versions of the driver, running a 3rd party wifi manager, among others. Any other MSI Wind owners here that can share some info regarding the wifi? Read more in our articles including "Emirates has cheapest in-flight WiFi at $1 per 500MB" and "MSI Wind WiFi Problem?".
