According to Baidu CEO Robin Li, Ernie Bot is still in development but was presented to the public because of high demand. Li said that 650 companies have already signed up to use Ernie Bot. Like ChatGPT, Ernie Bot is able to produce images based on text prompts provided by the user and can answer questions just like most AI services being offered today. It was highlighted, however, that the demonstration of Ernie Bot's capabilities was pre-recorded and not done live.
