Facebook Dating is similar to apps like Tinder and Bumble, with a user's potential matches curated from their own Facebook communities, events, groups, friends of friends, interests, and the like. The Facebook Dating button is available through the Facebook app, but a user's Dating profile will be separate from the user's Facebook accounts. One feature of Facebook Dating is called Secret Crush, where users get to choose up to nine specific friends that they are interested in dating. A Facebook Dating profile is needed to activate Secret Crush. To activate Facebook Dating, update your Facebook mobile app to the latest version. Facebook has just announced that it will launch Dating, its own romantic relationship app, during the company's annual F8 developer conference.
