Meta has announced that all video posts on Facebook will be converted into reels soon. Facebook's videos will soon be spotted under the reels tab now as Meta announces the change. Video posts will be watched under reels, providing a "simplified publishing flow that gives you access to even more creative tools". With this new change, Meta will be renaming Facebook's Video tab to Reels tab. Additionally, there will now be a new prompt for users who post on reels about the user's audience. They will be asked on who they would prefer to watch their reels similar to that seen when users post on their Feed. Following TikTok's success, Meta has recently released Facebook Reels globally. YouTube itself has introduced in 2020 a short-form video platform through YouTube Shorts, which similar to Reels had a time limit of 60 seconds per upload.
