The launch of the free Wi-Fi initiative called Angeles City ConnectED saw the installation of first thirteen (13) wireless hotspots scattered in the key location around the city. Mayor Pamintuan was keen to point out that the installation of the free wireless hotspots come at no expense to the city, stating that Angeles City ConnectED is a product of Converge’s corporate social responsibility. He provided some details about the free Wi-Fi hotspot including its ability to accommodate up to 450 users all at the same time, shared bandwidth of 100 Mbps, and 300-meter coverage. The CEO also pointed out that during the initial roll out of the service, there will be no limit on how much data Angeles City citizens can consume when they’re connected to one of the first 13 wireless hotspots.
