Samsung is set to begin mass production of its next generation of foldable phones next month, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and, for the first time, a more affordable option, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Samsung is reportedly in the final stages of testing its homegrown Exynos 2500 3nm chip and may use it ‘exclusively’ in the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Current existing devices like the Galaxy Z Flip 6 run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Higher initial production numbers for the Z Flip 7 FE point to a wider release than previous limited-run experiments like the Z Flip 4 Bespoke Edition. According to a report by SamMobile, Samsung's firmware update policies have given us an idea on which Galaxy smartphones and tablets are eligible for the upcoming Android 13 update under Samsung's ONE UI 5.
