Powered by Gemini 3.1, the update introduces a more interactive browsing experience where users can chat with a side panel assistant while staying on the same webpage. Android support is available through Gemini while using Chrome and other apps. Google is partnering with CapCut to bring video and image editing tools to the Gemini app. CapCut said users will soon be able to edit photos and videos directly through Gemini using some of its editing features. However, the company has not yet revealed which tools will be included or if subscriptions will be required. CapCut already offers AI-powered editing tools and previously partnered with Google through Google Photos, which added an “edit with CapCut” shortcut in its 2025 recap feature. Google has announced new tools for its Gemini AI that allow users to import memories and chat history from other AI apps. Google's new feature lets users transfer personal preferences, past conversations and key details into Gemini.
