Google on Wednesday announced that its Generative AI in Search has now expanded to 120 new countries and territories, including the Philippines. With Generative AI in Search, specifically through Search Generative Experience (SGE), users can find what they’re searching for in ‘faster, easier ways’. This is the largest expansion yet on Google’s SGE, bringing AI-generated overview that is conveniently placed inside users’ search queries. To activate it, simply go to Search Labs and toggle SGE to enable it. Afterward, a ‘Generate’ button will appear on certain search queries that will give an ‘AI-powered overview’ of a search query. Furthermore, users can also ask follow-up questions right from the search results. SGE will get more updates in the coming weeks, such as underlined words that have multiple meanings, and highlighted words on relevant searches about coding and health.
