Globe Telecom has announced that it has donated 1,000 Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi modems to support of DepEd's Distance Learning program. Globe At Home's donation of 1,000 prepaid WiFi modems is part of its WiFi2Teach program to help DepEd equip selected public school teachers with connectivity, enabling them to teach through online platforms despite the current global health crisis. WiFi2Teach is also part of the telco’s ongoing efforts and contribution under the Brigada ng Ayala - Ayala Group of Companies' group-wide participation in the DepEd’s Oplan Balik Eskwela (OBE) and Brigada Eskwela (BE) programs. “WiFi2Teach is designed to assist public school teachers in carrying out their work and duty of teaching students remotely. Back in April, Globe has also launched its Globe eLibrary platform with DepEd to give K-to-12 students, educators, and parents around the country free and quick access to hundreds of ebooks and educational videos. So it's not a surprise that Globe Telecom has dropped its Globe Visibility Mobile Prepaid kit down to just Php3,500. Globe started offering their new prepaid and postpaid plans for Visibility back in June 23 when we first reported it here.
